March-April 2025 Global Collaboration Highlights

The chart above highlights Near East University’s global research collaboration network for March–April 2025, based on publications indexed in the Scopus database. Reflecting the university’s sustained commitment to international academic cooperation, the chart reveals a broad and dynamic network of collaborations with institutions across diverse geographical regions.

During this period, Türkiye emerged as the most prominent partner with 41 joint publications, followed by Pakistan (21 collaborations) and Saudi Arabia (18 collaborations). Cyprus (14), India (12), and Azerbaijan (11) were also key contributors to Near East University’s expanding research partnerships.

Significant collaborations continued with China and Iraq (8 each), Nigeria and South Korea (7 each), as well as Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates (6 each). Notable academic ties were also maintained with Lebanon and Poland (5 collaborations each), and further connections were established with Iran, Taiwan, and the United States (4 collaborations each).

In total, Near East University collaborated with researchers from 57 countries during this two-month period. This includes new or ongoing collaborations with institutions in Spain, Egypt, Indonesia, Italy, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, and Yemen—each contributing to the university’s diversified research portfolio. Additionally, academic engagements extended across Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and the Americas, with countries such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Mexico, and the United Arab Emirates featured among the network.

This global footprint underscores Near East University’s strategic vision of fostering interdisciplinary research that transcends borders. By cultivating these global academic ties, the university continues to reinforce its scientific impact and support collaborative efforts to address complex global challenges through innovation and shared knowledge.
