3–5 September 2026 | Near East University, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
The 12th International TURKCESS Congress on Education and Social Sciences will be held between 3–5 September 2026 in Northern Cyprus, hosted by Near East University.
The main theme of the congress has been determined as “Inclusivity, Sustainability, and Transformation in Education in the New Century.”
Previously organised in Sinop, Gaziantep, Skopje, Baku, Northern Cyprus, Istanbul, Hatay, Kosovo–Prizren (Ukshin Hoti University), and most recently in 2025 at Hasan Kalyoncu University in Gaziantep, the TURKCESS Congress has been held with the participation of hundreds of academics from more than twenty countries, adopting an interdisciplinary perspective.
The primary aim of the congress is to bring together academics from the Turkish Cultural Geography and other countries, to promote knowledge sharing, to establish a strong communication network among academics and researchers, and to support international academic collaborations. Within the scope of the event, social activities are organised, and the “Turkish World Service Award,” which has been presented since 2018, as well as “Scientist Awards” in different thematic areas, are conferred.
