Congratulations on receiving the Research Publication Excellence Award. What does this recognition mean to you, and how has your research journey evolved to this point?

Receiving the Research Publication Excellence Award is both a tremendous honor and a deeply meaningful milestone in my academic journey. I am sincerely grateful to the Rector of Near East University for this prestigious recognition and to the university administration for continuously promoting a culture of research excellence. I would also like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Şerife Eyüpoğlu, whose unwavering encouragement, visionary leadership, and steadfast support have created an inspiring academic environment that motivates faculty members to pursue high-quality research and international scholarly excellence.

Over the years, my research has evolved from exploring fundamental questions in consumer behavior and marketing to investigating contemporary issues such as sustainability, digital transformation, brand management, and responsible business practices. Each publication has strengthened my belief that meaningful research should contribute not only to academic knowledge but also to practical decision-making. I see this award not as the culmination of my journey, but as an encouragement to pursue even greater academic excellence, mentor future researchers, and contribute to the global reputation of Near East University through research that creates lasting value.

“Meaningful research should contribute not only to academic knowledge but also to practical decision-making.”

Your research focuses on areas such as consumer behavior, influencer marketing, sustainability, and organizational behavior. What inspired you to pursue these research interests, and what motivates you to continue exploring them?

What inspires me most is the opportunity to address contemporary challenges through research that is both theoretically rigorous and practically relevant. Whether examining sustainable consumption, responsible business practices, digital innovation, or employee and customer behaviors, my goal is to generate insights that help organizations make better decisions while contributing to the well-being of society.

The rapidly changing business landscape continues to motivate me to explore new research questions. Emerging technologies, evolving consumer expectations, and growing concerns about sustainability and ethical business practices present exciting opportunities for scholarly inquiry. I find great fulfillment in contributing to these conversations through interdisciplinary collaboration and publishing in international journals. Ultimately, my motivation stems from a lifelong commitment to learning, creating knowledge, and making a meaningful contribution to the global academic community.

Many of your recent studies examine how digital transformation influences consumer and organizational behavior. From your perspective, what are the most significant opportunities and challenges that digitalization presents for researchers and businesses today?

Digital transformation is fundamentally reshaping how organizations operate, compete, and engage with their stakeholders. It presents unprecedented opportunities to enhance customer experiences, improve operational efficiency, foster innovation, and create more personalized, value-driven interactions. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and omnichannel platforms are enabling organizations to better understand consumer needs and make more informed strategic decisions. For researchers, this transformation also provides an exciting opportunity to develop new theoretical perspectives that explain rapidly evolving consumer and organizational behaviors.

Strong theoretical foundations, rigorous methodologies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and openness to new ideas are essential for producing impactful research. Every research journey includes moments of uncertainty and rejection, but these experiences ultimately strengthen scholarly capabilities.

Above all, pursue knowledge with passion, maintain academic integrity, and remember that consistent effort and perseverance can transform innovative ideas into impactful scientific contributions.
